out and about
yesterday laura and i biked about 25 miles - i went from chinatown to brooklyn, back to the city, up the lower east side then cross town (through the east village to the west), up the west side up to the tip of manhattan to the cloisters (through the upper west side, morninghside heights, washington heights) then back down 200 blocks, going through harlem, central park, and various other diverse neighborhoods along the way. every few blocks it's basically like you are in another country. manhattan is amazing. my legs hurt today. it's the marathon, i think i'll skip it.
